Waterfall

I took this picture at Rainbow Springs state park in Florida.

I take pictures of all the waterfalls practically every time I go there. I always like to try different angles, along with different settings on my camera. I live about 15 minutes away from the springs.

Black Widow

I took this picture because I found it in my garage.

I have no real explanation for taking this picture except I didn't think anyone (my family) would believe it unless they saw it.

Scarry storm cloud

I took this picture while I was on my way to work.

I decided to take this picture because this storm cloud was very scarry. This cloud covered a very large area of farm land and as you can tell the sky around it was super bright while the cloud was practically pitch black.

Strange Florida flower and a waterfall

This picture was taken at Rainbow Springs state park in Florida.

I took this picture because I was facinated by the strange Florida Flower. I still don't know what the flower is called. I chose to get the waterfall in the backround I was hoping to get a clear picture of both the waterfall and the tree, but I was glad when I saw that the waterfall is blurry because it looks more dramatic.

Blue skies and a rainbow

This picture was taken on a typical Florida afternoon after it rains.

I took this picture because of the shear beauty of the blue sky with the rainbow.

Rhino Rally

This picture was taken at Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay on the Rhino Rally ride.

I was genuinely scared when I took this picture. When we started out on the Rhino Rally ride we where in a jeep driving through the Serengeti Plain. We turned behind some rocks when you start hearing rushing water and then see this and we continue to drive into the water. Luckily, the jeep turns into a boat and it turns into an interesting boat ride, but for a second there I was freaking out.

Daytona Beach from the air

This picture was taken from a cable car at Daytona Beach pier.

I took this picture because of how far you can see in the distance and the waves. You really can't tell in the picture just how big the waves where on this specific day. Some where taller then me and I am 5' 1" tall.

Killer Whales

This picure was taken at Sea World in Florida.

I took this picture because we were never able get this close to where the killer whales come up on the platform.

Jackie

In this picture is our cat Jackie stretching with the window open while meowing.

I took this picture because in Florida we very rarely get to have our windows open. This was one of those rare days and Jackie relishes every second of these days when she gets to go from window to window staring and meowing at the birds.

Storm clouds in Texas

When Jonathan and I drove to Texas we saw this amazing storm rolling in from a distance in Texas and I couldn't resist. It was just to amazing to pass up the opportunity.

I took these pictures because the storm cloud looked eerily like a funnel cloud.

Black Rhino

I want to start out this blog with one of my favorite photo's.

This picture was taken at Brookfield Zoo in Brookfield, Illinois. She is a Black Rhino and she is very pregnant and ready to give birth.

I took this picture because the Rhino looked sad. I had no idea that she was pregnant until later. Now, when I look at this picture I can see the done look in her eye. Almost like she is saying I want to give birth and start the next faze; raising her baby.

I also wanted to share that my husband Jonathan took my picture and painted it oil on canvas.

I will have to try and get a better picture to post.
